ROYAL FLUSH UPDATE

I forgot about daylight savings and almost missed the start of the race.

So of course in my scramble to get out the door I didn't charge my camera. It died after these shots. FML.

Send me your pics pls.

Other than that, absolutely classic day. So many nice bikes and congrats to DD who took out the top prize.

ROYAL FLUSH - ALLEYCAT

This Sunday! This will be one of the raddest races in Melbourne to date.

"YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE THE FASTEST TO TAKE HOME SOME LOOT!"

The SBC crew - the raddest bike crew in town - have arranged this race with a vegas element so that not only do you collect cards from 5 known checkpoints, there is also a Joker checkpoint that you have to find using a CLUE and YOUR BRAIN. So it won't just be the fastest rider who takes out the prizes.

Once you get all of your cards there is a 6th checkpoint where you can swap your cards to get your best poker hand. Then you race to the end, EASY.

PO PO PO PO PO PO PO POKER FACE

I will be manning one of the checkpoints, come say hi

GIANT BMX

Bike: Giant BMX
Location: Elgin St, Carlton
Owner: TBC, email us if this is YOU!

Um... sorry to break it to you giant BMX: You ain't that giant. Actually you are pretty small.

This bike is cool, but it has a bad case of
small man syndrome.

Like how Tom Cruise apparently never allowed 'Our' Nicole to wear high heels, or those rockabilly type of short dudes that wear those horrendous shoes with the lifts in them.

My lord how I hate those ugly, ugly shoes.

Get ready for your close up:

British convicts pedal to freedom
By staff writers
From: NewsCore
September 17, 2010 10:14AM

TWO teenage convicts pedalled to freedom after they were let out of jail for the day to take a cycling test.
Connor Dewhurst, 14, and Sam Thomas, 13, were allowed to sit their cycling proficiency test - an exam British children must take to prove they can safely ride bicycles on the road.

However, the pair proved rather more proficient than supervisors were expecting as they sped away from a juvenile detention centre in Manchester in northwestern England.
Cops think they pedalled 11km to one of the city's major train stations before hopping on a tram to complete yesterday's escape bid.

Dewhurst had been convicted of attacking a police officer while Thomas was locked up for robbery, Greater Manchester Police said.

They are still on the run.

Nice One. What I don't understand is why you need to take a test to ride a bike, LAWL the poms are nuts.

CYCLING WORLD CHAMPS...

Are in Geelong... wtf?

Who knew? Actually I remember someone telling me but I forgot.

So last weekend is the football grand final so we've decided to get the hell out of Melboune. Gtown was a ghost town aside from all the people working getting ready for the cycling champs.

Slightly eerie.

So many window displays:

That bike has been struck by the disco stick.

GEELONG V COLLINGWOOD

We went to the football last Saturday night to see the Cats v the Pies.
Our team lost, but the game was entertaining none the less.

Lowlight = Only mid strength beer in plastic cups. It was like Splendour all over again.
Midlight = Laughing at the Collingwood Boags. SRSLY. Where do these people come from?!!
Highlight = Spotting This Bike

Bike: Some Kind of Machine from THE FUTURE
Owner: Probably a Cats Supporter (TBC, email us if this is you)
Location: MCG

This bike looks like is straight out of that show "Beyond 2000"
Mental Note: Lookup "Beyond 2000" on YouTube later

CHECK OUT THE BUILT IN LIGHT. LIKE WHOA!

The Brooks seat always talks to me.
This one's saying: "I may be a psycho bike from the future, but I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany"

Hey lady! It might be a night game but that doesn't mean you have to come in your jim jams.
She has the matching Collingwood jammies and slippers. WOW.
If I was that kid I would be like "Muuuuummmmm noooooooooooooo!" and then get lost accidentally on purpose.

AS you can tell, I have dedicated this post to all you Collingwood bogans out there.
I am so generous with my time, I have even made you a Venn Diagram.

Enjoy:
