CHAMPS ON CHAPS

Bike: Vintage Resprayed Track with very beautiful lugs
Location: Lucky Coq Prahran
Owner: Had a big one by the looks of things!

I live right near Chapel St and I wish that I could tell you that sights like these are a rare occurrence.
Unfortunately drunkies like to use our helmets as rubbish bins on the regular. Best thing about living so close to the Chap? If you are ever bored on the weekend watching the crowd get kicked out of Revs on Saturday when it's time for cleaning is pure entertainment.

POODLE POWER

Bike: Candy! Back from the dead!
Riders: Brenton & Ziggy
Location: Royal Parade

I don't have a car, never have and am putting off buying one for as long as humanly possible.
NBD right? I live and work in the city and have fenders for riding in the wet. Even pooch transportation is possible fixed/brakeless.

STICKER ATTACK!

Bike: Cinelli Gazetta AKA "Joy"
Location: St Kilda
Owner: Yours Truly

My Celeste front rim was the first piece that I bought for my bike and I based my colour palette around it. I love that poke so hard.

Dear Poke, I'm sorry for all the dings, all the drunken stacks, all the skids to ass slides, I have ruined you.
I still love you, now I'm on a mission to get you a facelift, love truly, SIM.

I'm giving Celeste a overhaul in the only lazy ass way I know how... STICKER ATTACK!!

As you can see I have made a start, slowly sifting through sneaker boxes to add to the collage.

Any contributions will be greatly appreciated, pls email moi

RIP CANDY

Sorry Brenton I done broke your bike!

B lent me this kick ass ride while I was putting my Gazetta together. I thrashed it, maybe a little too hard... right in to a wall on the Main Yarra Trail. FFFFUUUUUU slimy wooden slats on the path and bitches on the wrong side.

This is why we can't have nice things :(

FUCKING KILLED. Right on the hip.

My sister thinks that I should start a blog just featuring my injuries. There would be so many posts featuring that elbow: I don't even have any skin there anymore, I just keep on ripping off the scar tissue.

Such a lady.

MELB CENT TOP TUBE FLAIR

Bike: Top Tube Flair
Location: Asian Central
Owner: TBC!!! Email us if this is you

Spotted this sweet ride on our shopping trip into the cbd for new shades.

Top tube pad looks cool... but what's the purpose? Apart from looking cool?

So your thigh is comfy when resting at lights because you can't track stand like me?

To protect your top tube from scratches when you chain it up?

Or purely for aesthetics?

I'm intrigued

COLOUR BLOCKER

Bike: Colour Blocker
Location: IKEA Carpark Richmond
Owner: TBC, email us if this is you

Colour Blocking is soooooo Feb 2011, all the cool kids are getting on board.

Who didn't learn this in primary school art class?

ON TREND: How cool is this starfuckers saddle?

Does anyone know where you can still get these?

I snapped this bike when I popped in to Goldcross to pump up my tire which had annoyingly become flat on the yarra trail.
I actually took the pic with Loz in mind as she is currently throwing around some ideas for her new build that is going to be influenced by a popular toy released in the 1970s. I can't give to much away at this point in time, but mark my words- her new bike is going to be beautiful.

I love the simple primary colour palette of this ride, the simplicity works so well on many levels.

I am also a massive fan of this colour blocking trend:

GETTING ON BOARD.
How rad:

I think I need more colour in my life... Melbourne fashion is so black and grey, it gets a bit gloomy like our weather!

JUICY FRUITS

Bike: Juicy Fruits
Location: The Evelyn, Brunswick St
Owner: Alastair

Loz and I were doing our best to ride off the HUGE breakfast that we ate on Sunday. All was well and good until we became thirsty so we stopped for jugs at the Evelyn.

We had only been there a short while when we were graced with this beauty. Wowza the colour of those Aero's really popps off so nicely against the chrome Bianchi frame. Get me a napkin for my seat.

I heart the Joocy, this is one of my favourite videos OF ALL TIME:

Whut Whueert hollaaa!!!

Yo your mates bikes were pretty rad too...

MINT SLICE

Bike: Mint Slice
Location: Bruns on a Suns
Owner: TBC; email fool if this is you

Spring has sprung in Melbourne and I spotted this lovely last sunny Sunday on Brunswick St.

It is pretty fresh, minty fresh. The chrome and clover green colourway reminds me of Mint Slice biscuits. They form part of Nick's regular diet and there's always a pack in the fridge.

The oxford style grips and saddle add a nice contrast to the green. It's like brown and green was a match made in heaven:

OMFG YUM to the billion squared, how good do they look?

Even Schapelle's on the MS train:

ROYAL FLUSH - ALLEYCAT

This Sunday! This will be one of the raddest races in Melbourne to date.

"YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE THE FASTEST TO TAKE HOME SOME LOOT!"

The SBC crew - the raddest bike crew in town - have arranged this race with a vegas element so that not only do you collect cards from 5 known checkpoints, there is also a Joker checkpoint that you have to find using a CLUE and YOUR BRAIN. So it won't just be the fastest rider who takes out the prizes.

Once you get all of your cards there is a 6th checkpoint where you can swap your cards to get your best poker hand. Then you race to the end, EASY.

PO PO PO PO PO PO PO POKER FACE

I will be manning one of the checkpoints, come say hi

MAD MEX

Bikes: Fresh off the boat
Location: Chaps
Owners: TBC. Email us if this is you

Just another lazy Sunday afternoon. Loz B and I were doing a chap lap, scoping for honeys, BUZ AS UGE. We spotted this pair out the front of Mad Mex in Windsor.

It's winter in Melbourne. Am freezing my tits off on the reg. Not this day though. Look at the sun shining through like a ray from heaven. Guiding our eyes like a beam from an angel straight on to these fine bikes. They srsly looked like it was their first outing. Brand spanking.

BORAT SAYS: "VERY NIIIIIIICE"

TIE ME UP

Bike: Purple Bondage Princess
Location: DC x PK Ripper Launch
Owner: TBC - Email us if this is you!

How cool are the details on this bike? It's tied up like a present. I love presents. Or it could be shoelaces. ALSO LOVE.

Like what would be awesome is if someone surprised you with a present and it was sneakers and a rad bike and all wrapped up together. WOWZA stop it my brain can't handle the awesomeness. If you covered that tied up present heap in marshmallow and Scott Mescudi gave it to me my face would literally explode due to the crazy radness.

I thought that that Mr.President song Coco Jamboo had the lyrics "Tie me up, Tie me down..." something, something... but I was wrong.

Holy Moley we thrashed the shit out of this song at Karaoke in Japan. Every Time!

I love the cheese anyway. Suffer in your jocks motherlickers!!

Now I gotta go EY COCO

DC X PK RIPPER LAUNCH

SORRY X 1 MILLION FOR LACK OF POSTS.

I went to the launch of the DC x PK Ripper Bike at 1000£ bend and snapped my neck so hard I haven't been the same since. SRSLY. Better now though. You can all relax.

SIM IS BACK!!!

Here are some bikes from the night:

One of the PK Rippers.

Another... This one I have seen up close at Pista Bikes while the lovely gents in there were fixing my BMX. The attention to detail is so rad. I especially like the pedals. Don't know about the orange though?

There was a checkpoint race before the event. I didn't go. Not because I am lazy, but I didn't have a rideable bike at the time. I was actually riding a mountain bike at the time because my bmx was fucked. I parked the mountain bike like a block away so nobody would see me on it. YUP I'm that vain. AND I really hate Mountain Bikes. That was a really, really low point in my life. Don't worry I'm all good now.

Flouro Love. It was acceptable in the 80s!

Candy coloured love. I wish I could take you all home with me. No one will notice if I just put you in my back pocket...

Chromey goodness.

SUP!

Animal print is so hot this season.

Nice.

Fuck yeah. SNAP!

OW my neck!

Loving the clean lines on this sucker.

I want those wheels! Where can I get them? ANYONE!??

Sweet!

So nice. Love a guy that is manly enough to sport a pink chain.

BOSS! Notice how all the best bikes are sporting the SBC spoke cards?
All the cool kids are doing it.
All in all, a really tops event.
Thanks to the organisers who put the show together, and all the hot boys that came to support and have been the subjects of my recent fantasies.
